Huge Lips Skinny Hips

We are not promoting that you starve or even stop eating – hardly! But let’s face it, we’ve all had those moments of feeling badly for overeating or eating mindlessly. This gloss is not a cure for anything but instead, it’s a fabulous way to set your intention and hold it. Think of it like tying a string around your finger to remind yourself to do something… this something is be healthy. When I (and this is Karen, Creatrix behind the brand, talking) use it, it constantly reminds me that I may not need that third, fourth, or fifth (!) handful of pretzels. Appetite is such a state of mind more often than not (um, double fisting cupcakes when you're full, anyone?). Besides, once it’s on, the lips look so moist and plump that the last thing I want to do is ruin it!

How It Works

Well, the lip surface is very thin. It is easy to “digest” ingredients, much like the skin when you apply cream. And think about how often you lick your lips when you have gloss on – I know I do constantly. Did you know that it has been reported that women ingest up to 9 pounds of lipstick in a lifetime – so why not ingest something like this? Here’s the skinny on the ingredients…

It was really important for me that this, as a gloss, be super silky, not too tacky, and definitely not so sticky that your hair sticks to your lips when it’s windy (how bad is that, especially during red carpet moments – so what if the red carpet is really your driveway! All moments can be red carpet ones in your heart!).

It was also key that the plumper not sting. Nothing is worse than that painful feeling of wanting to tear your lips off. So this gloss is packed with meadow foam, an active ingredient that binds moisture to the skin, keeping the lips soft and delish.

It also has lemon peel oil, which has a cooling effect so that the minute the sting comes, the lemon peel counteracts it, soothing the lips at once. How does it plump? With Vitamin B3, which stimulates blood flow to the lips, creating that oh-so-sultry photo-ready pout. It gives the lips that pillow-y effect and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area.

There is also orange peel extract which is a natural metabolism booster (hey, we could use all the help we can get, right?). Then we have Hoodia, an all natural extract from a cactus-like plant indigenous to South Africa and Namibia.

Studies have shown that Hoodia is made up of something called P57, which targets the part of the brain that tells you when you’re full by mimicking the effects of sugar. Now, just because you may feel full doesn’t mean you may not eat (Um, Thanksgiving dinner anyone? Does that third helping ring a bell?).

Eating is largely a state of mind – how many times have you told yourself you’d stop eating all carbs and then found yourself double fisting a cupcake later that day? But hopefully this will give you that extra bit of support to keep you healthy, conscious, and looking and feeling fabulous!
