Why should I participate in the “Find Your Luvah™” speed dating event?

To meet your next potential life-long "Luvah™". Who wouldn’t want to meet their future boyfriend/girlfriend at what could be the world’s largest speed dating event? Also, if you find a match, the two of you can toast over martinis at the sexy W Hoboken on your first date and sip a yummy drink on them! (Just bring your Luvah™ lip color from the event as your cocktail “ticket”.)

How does speed dating work?

Men and women will be seated across from each other at long tables. You will be allowed three minutes to talk. At the end of the allotted time, a bell will ring, signaling the end of the date. After each “date,” you will keep a personal record by writing down the name and identification number on your “date card,” (a pad to keep track of everyone you like) and indicate whether you wish to see this person again. The men will then rotate to the next date and begin again.

How do I register for the “Find Your Luvah™” Speed Dating Event?

It is recommended you register beforehand so you don’t have to wait on any lines when you arrive at the W Hoboken. If you do not register beforehand, you can still register at the event. The online registration form will ask for your name, sex, age, email address and phone number.

Unless you are matched, none of this information will be given out to speed dating participants. Purple Lab will not use your contact information unless you opt in to receive information about upcoming product launches and events. Upon registering, you will receive your speed dating number, a nametag label. If you are a female it will begin with a “G” (for girl) and if you are a male it will begin with a “B” (for boy). Once you arrive at the event and register, you will check in with a Purple Lab representative who will give you a name and speed dating number tag, in addition to a date card.

How long does a speed dating event last?

Typically a speed dating event will last about one hour. But afterwards, feel free to check out the Chandelier Room or Zylo in the W Hoboken after the event with your friends or someone who caught your eye.

How many dates will I go on?

You will go on 20 dates, each lasting 3 minutes.

How much does it cost to participate?

The cost to participate is $15 per person. A portion of these proceeds will go to Women in Need . Women in Need provides housing, help and hope to New York City women and their families who are homeless and disadvantaged. Through comprehensive programs such as shelter, supportive permanent housing, job training, domestic violence services, alcohol and substance abuse treatment and childcare, WIN offers the tools and guidance which allow our families to return to their communities and live independently. A portion of every participant’s entry fee will be donated to Women in Need.

What age group is participating in this event?

21-35 years old. If you are one or two years older than this age group, we welcome you to still attend. However, we do not recommended attending if you are much more than the ages listed above. This will ensure everyone has the experience they are expecting.

What should I wear?

Wear something you feel confident and sexy in. Guys – make an effort. Gel your hair, add some cologne, and bust out good shoes (women will judge you by your footwear). Girls– wear an outfit that you feel fabulous in! And maybe add an extra coat of mascara! Each female participant will receive our 3D aphrodisiac lip product, "Luvah™" so this will be the perfect finishing touch! (By the way, you will be receiving it BEFORE ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD.)

What are the requirements to attend the “Find Your Luvah™” speed dating event?

You must be at least twenty-one years of age.
You must be single or legally separated.
You must have read and agreed to our terms and conditions
You must be registered for the event.

Are there any special rules for the event?

You may not ask for or give out contact information (e.g. last name, phone number, e-mail address, place of work).
You may not ask sexually explicit questions or say anything that might be interpreted as threatening or as sexual harassment; or use inappropriate or vulgar language.
You may not ask someone if they are going to check ‘yes' or ‘no' for your date.
You may not ask any personal financial information.
No skipping dates. You may know that you aren't going to click with someone, but it is expected that the same respect and courtesy that you receive be extended to someone else.

What information will be exchanged with my matches?

Only if you have made a match, will your email addresses be shared. It is then up to you to reach out to each other and set up a follow up date.

What if I don't find a match?

Sometimes, people don't make matches. But we promise there is someone amazing out there for you! Think of it this way, at least you got to enjoy open bar whiling hanging out with Purple Lab at the W Hoboken!

What if I get no response from a match?

We recommend that you wait a couple of days before re-contacting them. There may be a reason that they were unable to respond immediately. To prevent any misunderstanding, we ask that everyone be courteous and reply to contacts from your matches – even if you have changed your mind.

What happens after the speed dating event?

After the speed dating event, you can take the rest of the weekend to decide who your top 5 matches are. Then starting Monday, February 1st, visit www.purplelabnyc.com/speeddating/match.html which will instruct you to insert the speed dating numbers of the participants you felt a connection with.

You will have until Thursday, February 11th, to enter your matches. On Friday, February 12, 2010, you will receive an email from Purple Lab with your corresponding matches and their contact information if you've made a match.
